10 lessons from 27 years
A quick overview of my biggest lessons so far.
This is intentionally going to be a shorter one.
On the 4th of January of 2026 (yesterday), I turned 27 years young.
For 12 of those years, I have been a very curious and reflective person, always asking questions, journalling, and trying to make sense of the things around me.
Today, I decided to put together 10 of my biggest lessons from living these 27 years.
There are many more, but for the sake of keeping this post short, I wanted to document publicly 10 of the lessons I consider the most important based on my own experience.
I must say that all these lessons come from lived-experience and were not AI-generated nor taken from any internet page.
The Lessons
1- Spend your money as if you are going to live five more years, and save or invest it as if you are going to live fifty more.
2- Treat everyone with love, respect, and kindness. You never know what they are going through.
3- Never judge a book by its cover. Appearances can be deceiving, especially in such a superficial world.
4- Your true friends will reveal themselves in your darkest times. In moments of celebration, everyone tends to be around.
5- Life becomes significantly easier the harder you work. Hard times create strong people.
6- Never fully trust someone without doing your own due diligence. A person who doesn’t prepare is easily fooled.
7- Your attention is your most valuable resource, so use it wisely. If you fail to protect it, others will take it from you.
8- Greed and fear should always be avoided. They can ruin your life in no time. Stay humble and face your fears.
9- Slow and steady wins the race. Results compound over time, so start early and be patient.
10- Knowledge will always be the best investment. Read more, explore, learn, and apply as much of that knowledge as possible.
I wanted to also take the opportunity to thank everyone who wished me a happy birthday and took some of their time to write me. I haven't had the time to get back to everyone, but I intend to do it this week.
If you enjoy my writing, I also post daily on LinkedIn. I write about my personal development journey and how I use science-based methods to improve my focus and productivity.

My favorite is lesson number 2 :)
Lesson 5 is what touched me the most. Trying to work harder now with the anticipation of an easier life.
Hopefully it pays off.
